Happy Saint Patty's Day!

Just another quick update- no pix, sorry! :(

Ariel has a pair of pajamas that Mama made for her from an old t-shirt. They look so comfy- I'm honestly jealous!

There're also some relationship updates.

Tiana and Naveen are hardly ever seen one without the other. You'd think they'd known each other 11 years, not 11 days! They're actually a great pair- they have had one arguement (over something totally stupid) but ended it by talking it through and listening to each other. They're so sweet around each other.

Additionally, Flynn and Rapunzel have become friends. They have long and involved discussions where they alternately laugh and look thoughtful. It's nothing romantic, but we can all tell that she is crushing on him HARD.

Lastly, Maleficent has found a friend. There was a stuffed dragon named Orchid that she bumped into- literally- just 15 minutes ago. They've been chattering away ever since.

Well, MyLittleMegara has work to do...

March 13, 2014- A Quick Update

Humans are ENTIRELY TOO SECRETIVE.

Apparantly, MyLittleMegara ordered yet another doll around the time she got her Classics dolls. Oh, she was New In Box and an INCREDIBLE DEAL... yes, Mama, I hear you... but please warn me next time!

Anyway, the new Wendy Darling doll's box was actually covered in mildew and mold, and when she was released, her dress and legs had the same predicament. "I suppose after 25 years in a box, a month or two airing out shouldn't be too hard for her," Mama said, "but I can't help but feel sorry for her. She's very quiet so far, but also very sweet. She's thrilled to be free of her smelly box, but she's not ready to meet anyone new. I'd feel the same way if I had yellow goop growing all over my legs!"

After this soliloquy, (I love that word) she added "oh, yeah, and I'm buying an Anastasia."

I thought my plastic head would burst with all this!!!!

When I told the others, the first reaction everyone gave was happy shock, the second was confusion. "I thought Anastasia was 20th Century Fox," Mulan mused.

"I have no idea what Mama was thinking," I answered, "but I couldn't be more excited!

Mary Poppins

Personality: Caring, nurturing, not too loud, not too quiet, practically perfect in every way. :)

Favorite Thing to Do: Like most Disney dolls, I love to sing.

How I'm Like Movie Mary: I believe a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down!

How I'm Different from Movie Mary: I'd rather care for adults than children- whining dolls irritate me to no end!

One Fun Fact: I lead the evening sing alongs and act as nurse when one is needed.

Jasmine

Personality: Flirt, vivacious, kind, tender hearted, boy cra-zy!

Favorite Thing to Do: Talk to/about guy dolls!!!

How I'm Like Movie Jasmine: I'm both fierce and sweet.

How I'm Different from Movie Jasmine: I LLLLOOOOVVVVEEEE the color purple and I don't turn every guy I meet away. STOP LAUGHING, MEG!

One Fun Fact: I was Mama's first Disney doll.

Pocahontas

Personality: Earthy, go-with-the-flow attitude, crafty

Favorite Thing to Do: Find objects in the yard to make things like lamps for my friends

How I'm Like Movie Pocahontas: I'm fairly daring and I love nature. I make the best of what I've got.

How I'm Different from Movie Pocahontas: I'm not too inclined to trust strangers and I make stuff for fun, not necessity.

One Fun Fact: Everyone calls me Poca. :D

I am so sorry to have kept you hanging. I get so caught up living that I forget to post about what I've already lived!!!

Okay, March 9th...

Today we basically just got to know each other. The new dolls are starting to loosen up a little. Flynn is actually extremely introverted, Tiana and Naveen are already a couple (rushing it a bit much, I think!), and Maleficent didn't really mix with any of us BUT she did seem more relaxed.

MyLittleMegara took most of us downstairs to watch some MLP:FiM, which we all like and almost all love. Kida, for one, could care less (although she likes Rainbow Dash.) On the other hand, Rapunzel is completely obsessed with Fluttershy.

 

We sat in a row, Maleficent skulking behind. The escapades of the Cutie Mark Crusaders kept us laughing, and I couldn't help but notice that the Tangled dolls kept inching closer and closer to each other.

In fact, when MyLittleMegara's dog came over and surprised all of us, Flynn even put his arm protectively around Rapunzel.

But, as soon as the dog left, there was a huge space between them again. They did start talking, though.

 

 

 

The two of them are similar- shy, thoughtful... if nothing else, I'm sure they'll make wonderful friends.

 

Whatever the case, I doubt they'll rush into things like our headstrong, romantic Princess and the Frog dolls.

 

But who knows? Let's just give it time.
