January through March 2015

Long time, no post! I suppose this is typical of me, though. I'm so sorry. :(

In any event, I am back to fill you in on the wonderful and the not-so-wonderful things that happened in January through March of last year.

On January 4th, the Frozen dolls decided to watch their movie.

I think they had a good time.

On January 10th, Anna and Kristoff had their engagement photos taken by MyLittleMegara.

They were having a great time and everything was going really well until disaster struck and Anna went tumbling to the ground, as if she had tripped over something buried in the snow.

Kristoff picked her up and carried her back to his sled, trying not to get too worried.

Luckily, when they got back inside, Elsa and Mary and Lula (the best caregivers in our group) just happened to be talking together.

Kristoff brought Anna to them, explaining what had happened.

Mary reassured him that Anna would be fine and, sure enough, she was!

After a half hour in their care, Anna was ready to cuddle up in front of the space heater with her fiancee and keep warm.

This warm and fuzzy feeling did not last, however. The very next day, dolls began pointing their fingers around, trying to blame one another for the various tricks that had been happening for so long. Anna's accident was the last straw, and Hans was having the fear and anxiety taken out on him.

Everyone seemed to have an opinion and everyone was taking sides.

The yelling stopped when Annette came in and expressed the fact that she trusted Hans and knew for a fact that he couldn't have been the one playing the tricks because they had been secretly dating. Every time a trick had been played, they had been talking or exploring MyLittleMegara's house.

Luckily, everyone sensed the honesty from which she spoke and left Hans alone.

Still, Kristen and I knew that it was time to catch the real culprit, once and for all.

The next day we set off, ready to find our trickster.

We looked high and low, but to no avail.

Finally, we decided to look inside MyLittleMegara'a closet, searching for an out of place garment or something similar to indicate that something there was not as it should be.

When we saw a grinning skull face on one sweatshirt, we decided to investigate further. MyLittleMegara would never wear a skull, would she? We peered around the other shirts.

There he was.

Kristen reached into the jacket pocket and pulled out two bright wedding bracelets.

The doll in the sweatshirt dove to the ground. Luckily, he wasn't very fast and Kristen and I were able to reach him at the bottom.

When we asked him why he had been so mean to us, he explained that he was just trying to share holiday spirit with everyone. He thought that tricks were just the right way to celebrate Christmas! His name was Jack Skellington, although he also liked being called Sandy Claws. He apologized to everybody and the case was closed.

Kristen and I returned the wedding bracelets to Belle and Adam, who were very relieved.

On February 14 (Valentine's Day!), Anna and Kristoff got married.

Lots of dolls from both Aighmi's and MyLittleMegara's collection were in attendance.

Kristoff stood waiting in a large basket, the trolls in front ready to perform the ceremony.

Everyone was very excited for the wedding to begin.

Elsa walked her sister up the aisle and then stood off to the side, watching the proceedings.

Anna and Kristoff clasped hands and the ceremony began.

It wasn't a traditional doll wedding, but combined many aspects of doll culture and rock troll culture into one new ceremony.

The couple exchanged bracelets and leaned in for their first kiss as husband and wife.

Then, instead of tossing a bouquet, both Anna and Kristoff tossed their crowns into the array of gathered dolls.

Ariel caught Anna's...

... and a new doll I didn't recognize caught Kristoff's,

Elsa topped the whole event off by causing a soft snowfall outside.

Pictures from the reception:

After almost everyone had gone, Ariel stood off to the side. The doll who caught Kristoff's crown came over to her and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hello," he said.

Ariel whipped around with a sharp intake of breath.

"Eric?" she whispered, disbelievingly.

"It's me," he answered, and the two embraced.

When I noticed that Anna and Kristoff were leaving, I turned away from this interesting development.

Elsa gave her sister and brother in law one large hug, then left, wiping a small tear from her eye.

Kristoff helped Anna out of the basket, and the two walked off to begin their new life.

February 22nd marked the one year anniversary of the first post I ever started to draft on paper.

On February 24, I asked Ariel about Eric and how they knew each other already. Turns out, they had both lived at the same house before Ariel was sent to the thrift store. The little girl who owned Ariel had been allowed to play with her mother's childhood Eric doll, and Ariel and Eric became close friends. When the girl "outgrew" dolls, however, Eric hadn't been sent to the thrift store with Ariel and the girl's mother had kept Eric until January, when he was listed on eBay.

On March 15, Belle and Adam adopted a little girl named Camille.

On March 26, Hercules took me on a special date.

We had dinner together, and then danced a little bit. It was very nice to spend some time alone with him, something I hadn't been able to do in a while.

That's a wrap!

It's Been A Real Slice.
