Mulan

Personality: I am brave and skilled at combat. I'm athletic and extremely generous. I don't like feeling pressured to be someone I'm not.

 

Favorite Thing to Do: Practice combat with my best friend, Merida.

 

How I'm Like Movie Mulan: We both are courageous and can fight well. The best kind of man to me is one who has a strong character but can also be sensitive. We don't like conforming to social norms.

 

How I'm Different from Movie Mulan: After combat (for sport, of course- I only shoot at targets and only for fun) my favorite hobby is being generous with my time, talents, possesions, energy- anything you need help with, I'll be there! Also, I've never been to China. I was made in Indonesia and I've lived in Mexico and the US.

 

One Fun Fact: I love listening to jazz music when I work out.

 

Tiana

 



Personality: Hopeless romantic! Good cook, musical, moderately tempermental. NOT A FROG! Dreamer.

Favorite Thing To Do: Watch romantic comedies like Enchanted while eating cinnamon sugar popcorn.

How I'm like Movie Tiana: I can sing, cook, and wish on stars like nobody's business! I can also be a little stubborn at times.

How I'm Different From Movie Tiana: I've always been a princess and I've never had to work particularly hard.

One Fun Fact: I love sparkly makeup!!!

Belle

Personality: Leader, bookworm, caring, smart.

Favorite Thing to Do: Read!

How I'm Like Movie Belle: We're very similar in a lot of ways, from singing voice to bookish tendencies.

How I'm Different From Movie Belle: I'm more of a leader than she is- I'm the take-charge kind of girl and being held in a Beast's castle would be... trying... on my patience.

One Fun Fact: Jane and I are room mates and we spend lots of our free time reading together.

Tiana certainly DID have something she was hiding!!!! Merida, Ariel and I were sitting on the mantel in the family room when MyLittleMegara walked in, carrying a big cardboard box.

Before we could investigate, she swept us up and re shelved us in her bedroom. Ariel quickly related the news to the others, who chatted excitedly for the next few hours, WAITING for Mama.

Soon enough, up she came, carrying something behind her back. "Hi, girls!" she grinned, "I have big news!"

We all looked at Tiana: the box... was this what she meant?

From behind her back, she produced three Disney Store boxes. (She took these pics before giving them to us.)

"Ladies, meet Prince Naveen-" cue Tiana's giggles- "Flynn Rider-" Rapunzel suddenly became very interested in her skirt- "and Maleficent!" We all gasped. A... villain?? What was Mama thinking?

"Just a sec... I'll have them out of the boxes." I didn't know a sec was 15 minutes, but with Disney Store Classics boxes? From what Ariel has said, they're torture. Pure torture.

But when the newbies finally were set free, they introduced themselves to us one at a time. Flynn went first, separately speaking to each of us. I could tell that he was trying to act like the movie character but he was obviously uncomfortable with the situation.

"Hey." to Esmeralda.

"How's it goin'?" to me.

"Lookin' good!" to Belle.

"Love the dress," to Aurora.

Et cetera.

But instead of acting smooth and suave to match his words, he was being completely stiff and awkward. Still, most of my friends were giggling madly and smoothing their hair with plastic fingers. I had to admit, this doll was attractive. But he really didn't seem interested in any of us (except maybe for Rapunzel, because instead of saying something slightly creepy to her he just lost all of his attempted Sheriff Graham-ness and acted like a normal person, just quietly saying "hi." But a second later, he was back to his facade.)

Every other doll got a silly little comment- every other doll but Kida, that is. He opened his mouth  to say something but was stopped short by Kida's warrior-princess-death-stare. Kida is not a doll to be messed with. ;)

Next was Naveen. He said a general "hello" to all of us, then saw Tiana waving at him from the front row. Her pulled her up and looked her in the eyes.

"You are beautiful," he whispered. Tiana blushed and smiled, then sat down while Naveen returned to Flynn's side. I guess the two of them got to know each other in the box and became friends.

Maleficent was last. She looked at us and mumbled something by way of greeting.

"Stay- stay back!" Aurora yelled. I wished doing a face-palm would not have been rude. Aurora's loud mouth and large opinions can often end in conflict if she is ruffled and seeing Maleficent as a doll was certainly ruffling her.

The green-faced doll flushed and nodded, looking sad and scared and lonely. Kida followed her to the door, but came back around to us in a few moments.

"She has no desire to speak with me, but it seemed as though she needed a friend." No one volunteered, so we all settled into our various positions for the night. Mama set the boys up on the other side of the room and gently coaxed Maleficent onto our vacated shelf. Kida stayed with her, though, so she could keep an eye on her. I guess Kida likes Maleficent. Or at least, she likes her better than she liked Flynn.

MyLittleMegara turned off the lights and soon the room was filled with rhythmic breathing.

Meet My Friends Post One

I figured that before we get into any more of my adventures, you should get to know my friends and "sisters." I'm not doing this in any particular order and I'm dividing it up into several posts, so just bear with me.

Okay, me first.



Personality: Sarcastic but well meaning, loyal to a fault. Overly dramatic at times. Musical. Over enthusiastic about EVERYTHING. Emotional.

Favorite Thing to Do: BLOG!

How I'm Like Movie Meg: We look alike, we're very sarcastic, and we're musical. Neither one of us is all that fond of heights.

How I'm Different from Movie Meg: While I don't immediately become somebody's BFF, I am less cynical than Movie Meg. Also, she's an alto and I sing soprano. I'm not in love, although... never mind. I'm not owned by a god(dess.)

One Fun Fact: My dress still works! I can have a miniskirt when I want to!

Kida




















Personality: Athletic, fighter, loyal, strong, sensible, intellectual.

Favorite Thing to Do: Run!

How I'm Like Movie Kida: Our personalities are very similar and we don't sing.

How I'm Different from Movie Kida: I'm not thousands of years old and I only speak English, Spanish, and French.

One Fun Fact: While most dolls here come from different homes, I, Mulan, Poca, and Jane are all "sisters" from the same old home.

Ariel

Personality: Bubbly, fashion obsessed, musical, outgoing.

Favorite Thing to Do: Hmm... it's a tie between talk, take baths, and change clothes.

How I'm Like Movie Ariel: Very musical and outgoing would definitely factor in. I like guys who can sail and I love the water.

How I'm Different from Movie Ariel: My clothing is my only collection and I can switch from mermaid to human very easily and at will.

One Fun Fact: My favorite food is anything with chocolate frosting on top.

Rapunzel

Personality: Shy, quiet, artistic, daydreamer, tone deaf.

Favorite Thing to Do: Sketch.

How I'm Like Movie Rapunzel: I'm a big dreamer and I'm artsy.

How I'm Different from Movie Rapunzel: I'm shy and quiet, not outgoing like she is, and I haven't been able to sing since the day I left the factory.

One Fun Fact: My dream is to find a doll who will love me for who I am and who will call me "Punzie" when we're alone together because it's always been a nickname I wanted.

Aurora

Personality: Leader, strong-willed, short-tempered, independent.

Favorite Thing to Do: Lead other dolls in the right direction.

How I'm Like Movie Aurora: I dream about the same handsome prince doll every night and I love the colors blue and pink.

How I'm Different from Movie Aurora: I'm very assertive and believe that I'm in charge of myself. I also have this bizarre fear of woodland animals, especially squirrels.

One Fun Fact: My best friend Cindy (Cinderella) loves silver and I love gold. Together, we make the whole room light up!

I'm starting to wonder if something's up. MyLittleMegara took Tiana downstairs this morning so she could fix her bun, which was starting to come out. When they came upstairs this evening, both had giant, ear-to-ear grins slapped onto their faces. That alone told me that they hadn't just been fixing Tiana's hair.

Here's the funny part, though- when I asked Tiana what it was, she just giggled and said it was a surprise.

"C'mon, Tia! What?"

"Meg, I can't tell you! It'll spoil the surprise!" she kept giggling, "Besides- MyLittleMegara didn't want anybody to know. She wanted to surprise all of us, even me! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. But if I keep talking I'll tell you- AARGH!! I have to-" giggle- "go!-" giggle- "Bye, Meg!" Giggle, giggle, giggle.

I got up, too, and went into Esmeralda's and my shared bedroom. My best friend was on her bed writing in the secret diary that everybody knows about. "Hey, Meg," she greeted me, not bothering to hide her book.

"Hello, Esmeralda! You're never going to guess what just happened!" I sat on my bed across from my "sister" and told her everything. When I was finished, Esmeralda also started to giggle.

"Oh, Megara," she chortled. "You know how Tia is! She cooks up good food... and good stories. Mama probably told her that her hair looked nice or something and then jokingly told her not to tell anyone. Next thing ya know, Tia's gone and convinced herself that Sherriff Graham is coming to stay with us!"

I started to giggle, too. "True- she is a dreamer. Sweet, but maybe a little bit of an airhead. Although... I wouldn't mind having Graham come!"

For those of you who don't watch Once Upon a Time, this is Graham Humbert, the one guy who literally every doll in our "clan" has a crush on. And we all have seriously different taste...

"Who wouldn't want that?" Esmeralda sighed. She's kind of number one in the Graham Fan Club. "I can ony hope that someday, the right Phoebus doll will be mine. But at this point, that's not going to happen, so I don't worry about it too much."

"Phoebus dolls aren't as hard to find as Herc dolls," I sighed back.

"Yeah, but MyLittleMegara is obsessed with Hercules, and she's not as much a fan of Hunchback. She'll find you a Herc soon enough."

"I guess..." I wasn't so sure, but I gave her a hug and left the room. I found Mama and asked if I could blog a while. So here I am wondering... is Tiana just wishing again? Or is something big about to happen?

Now excuse me while I watch Once Upon a Time Season One: Episode Seven and bawl my eyes out. WHY????
